As your nominee for the International Student Council, I promise to make our university experience more lit (in a good way)!
First, let’s get this straight – online courses are great, but we need some human interaction to survive (and to learn). So, I’ll fight for more face-to-face classes, because adulting is hard, but making friends shouldn’t be.
Next up, Inclusivity and cultural sensitivity! We’re a global community and our university must be more accountable and responsive to the diverse needs and concerns of international students, acknowledging the impact of global geopolitics on our community.
Now, about that single-use plastic… let’s just say our planet is begging for a break. I’ll work to make our campus plastic-free, because we can do better than a sea of disposable water bottles.
And, because adulting is expensive, I’ll make sure our Food Bank is stocked and ready to help. No student should have to choose between textbooks and takeout
In all seriousness, I’m committed to making our university experience more inclusive, supportive, and fun. Let’s do this!”
